Making Banh Mi Sandwiches / Addictive Baguette Sandwiches / Weekend Brunch
Hello! Am I the only one who finds it a hassle to wake up early and cook on weekends... haha. Off to have a leisurely brunch...
hello!
On weekends, I wake up early in the morning
Am I the only one who finds cooking a hassle? Haha.
I want to go for a late brunch, but
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases exceeded 30,000 today.
After hearing the news … .. I gave up immediately!
Instead, my favorite banh mi sandwich
I'll try to make it delicious.
I tried it during my trip to Vietnam and completely fell in love with it... haha
Since then, I've started eating cilantro too.
So, while making a banh mi sandwich
I'm going on a trip to Vietnam to relive some memories :)

Today, it’s not just a cafe.
A place where you can have a delicious home brunch
I'll invite you to my house.
Our day :)
Menu – Banh Mi Sandwich, Iced Americano

[ingredient]
Banh Mi sandwich for 3 people
250g beef brisket
1/2 cucumber
1/2 carrot
A handful of cilantro
1/5 of a radish
Cheongyang, red chili (according to preference)
[Meat Seasoning]
1 tablespoon Sriracha chili sauce
3/4 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon of oligosaccharide
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 tablespoon of cooking wine
A little pepper
A little ginger (optional)
[Spread Sauce]
4 tablespoons mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons Sriracha chili sauce
1 tablespoon oligosaccharide, 3/4 tablespoon fish sauce
[Vinegar water]
3 tablespoons vinegar, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon salt

Please prepare carrots and radishes.
I'm going to soak it in vinegar water for 30 minutes.

First, please julienne the radish.
You can cut it into squares like I did and then julienne it.
It is fine to julienne it while keeping its round shape.
After transferring the sliced radish to a glass container with a lid
I'll slice the carrots.

Please julienne the carrots as well.

Please add the shredded carrots to the bowl as well.

3 tablespoons of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of sugar

Add 1 teaspoon of salt and mix well.
I'm going to let this sleep for 30 minutes.
Good night~~

I can see you smirked.

Now, pull yourself together.
I'll prepare the meat marinade this time.
Add 1 tablespoon of Sriracha sauce to the prepared beef brisket

1 tablespoon of olive oil and 3/4 tablespoon of fish sauce

Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of oligosaccharide.

Sprinkle a little pepper and mix well.
I'll marinate the brisket just like the carrots and radishes.
Bye, good night~~
I know you smirked again.
You're saying it's not?

Just let it go. Just let it go.

Now, hurry up before the kids wake up.
I'm going to make a spread.
3/4 tablespoon of fish sauce and

1 tablespoon of oligosaccharide

4 tablespoons of mayonnaise

Please add 2 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce as well.

And please mix it while saying "Urrachacha."

Then the spread source is
completion

You can also use the sauce you made for other sandwiches :)

The thawed baguette bread is
I'll run it in the air fryer at 170 degrees for 5 minutes.
(I ran it without preheating)
I bought the banh mi baguette from Market Kurly.
If you search, you'll find there are many places selling it.

Ehey~
The sound of the air fryer woke the meat up.

Then, slowly coat with oil
I'll stir-fry the beef brisket in a frying pan.

I used a torch for the first time in a while to add a strong smoky flavor.
Torch Usage Tips!
If you use it too close, it can burn up all at once.
Make sure the tip of the flame coming from the torch is directed toward the food
The key point is to tan it gradually.

I'll prepare the vegetables.
Cilantro, red and Cheongyang peppers, and cucumber

Cilantro really has strong likes and dislikes.
How about you, my dear followers?
I tried a banh mi sandwich when I traveled to Vietnam.
I fell in love back then.
It had a nice, subtle scent.
But I don't put a lot in either.
I'll chop the cilantro into bite-sized pieces since I'm going to sprinkle a little on top.

Please finely chop the cucumber and chili peppers.

Ta-da! Then, preparation is complete!

Now that all the ingredients are ready,
I'm going to make a Banh Mi sandwich.

Most of the time, the bread is divided in half.
You know, they put fillings in it (like Subway).
I always hollow out the top and tear off a little bit of bread, then
Put the contents inside.
That way, it doesn't spill and you can eat cleanly, which is good.

I'm going to tear off the top part of the bread and spread sauce inside.

Add cucumbers to your liking, and the one you made earlier
Please also add pickled carrots and radishes.

Pack the meat tightly and brush on the sauce one more time.

Please add chili peppers and cilantro to your liking.
If you like spicy food, use Cheongyang peppers brimfully!
If you like cilantro, cilantro brimfully!
Please add it.

Ta-da!!!
If you do this
Really delicious Banh mi sandwich finished~~
Even though I made it simply for weekend brunch
A banh mi sandwich that can be a hearty meal
It has an addictive taste :)
Have a delicious meal
Have a wonderful weekend enjoying some relaxation.
